Our EPQ poster presentation event was a great success and a wonderful opportunity for our LVI girls to present their research in a formal and interactive manner. Each girl provided us with a visual representation of their research through text, charts, graphs, and other visual aids. The afternoon was buzzing with academic passion and the interactive nature meant that our future EPQ students in Y10 and Y11 were able to ask thought-provoking questions throughout. Hearing how each student’s research fitted into the wider academic landscape of their topic was fascinating, and some of the implications of their findings thus far bode well for some very intriguing final products. Topics were wide-ranging, including dentistry in the war, who invented punk rock, and the impact of gravity on anatomy, demonstrating the endless possibility of EPQ topics; there really was something for everyone to be interested by.
