On the final Friday before Half Term, the School joined together for a Dress Up Day to fundraise for the Mvumi School Trust. With the decision of the Dress Up theme left to the students, the following themes were decided by student vote…
- Year 7 and 8 came dressed as Barbie and Ken
- Year 9, 10 and 11 came dressed as Adam Sandler
- The Sixth Form decided to turn FHS into a boys school and dressed as (you guessed it!) BOYS!
This was once again an incredible fundraising effort from our school community, and comes just before Mr Dyson, Ms James, Elisabeth C and Mika B will head to Tanzania over half term to visit our friends at Mvumi School. They will be touring the school and local area, attending assemblies, working with the unit for visually impaired, meeting our sponsored pupils, and gaining an insight into the daily lives of the children in our link school. They will also see how the school are using the girls’ ablution block which we funded after the pandemic (raising £43k in one week through our Clean Hands, Pure Heart campaign).
We wish Mr Dyson, Ms James, Elisabeth and Mika the very best of luck on their trip, and thank you again to our community for another great fundraising initiative!
