FHS have, once again, well and truly pulled it off…!
Years 7-9 took to the Senior Hall yesterday evening for another outstanding dramatic performance; this time our very own unique adaption of the legendary comedy play Daisy Pulls It Off.
Set in 1927, our iconic heroines, twins Daisy and Maisy (magnificently played by Beatrice Gironi and Katharine Wilson), face the trials and tribulations of starting at a new school as the first scholarship girls taken from an elementary school, with the added adversity of struggling against unspeakable snobs Sybil, Sibella, Monica and Bianca. As much hilarity and many adventures ensued, our audience were simultaneously amused, entertained and moved by this riotous and affectionate pastiche of a classic girls’ school story.
What a wonderful way to see in the final half term of an extraordinary year for FHS Drama. Thank you so much to Miss Hanton, Mr Omole, Mr Page and everyone else involved in making this production such a success, to the audience for their support and to the cast for their commitment, enthusiasm and vivacity. We are so excited for the second performance tonight!
