On Wednesday 8th October, we were delighted to welcome over 350 prospective pupils and parents to our annual 11+ Open Evening.
The evening began with refreshments in the Senior Hall and the opportunity to chat with Lower Sixth pupils and Senior staff, before a Welcome by our Head, Alexandra Haydon, in which she described the unique ethos and values which make FHS a truly exceptional school.
After this, our guests went off on tours with Year 8 pupils, where they had the chance to speak to current pupils and staff, visit different specialist facilities around our school site and take part in interactive games, workshops, challenges and demonstrations within our different subject areas.
We are delighted to have received fantastic feedback on the evening, with one prospective parent remarking, “We were delighted by the staff, the girls and environment. It is such a warm school. Thank you for the lovely evening” while another said, “This is the only school my daughter has visited which she came away saying āI love itā! Please pass on our thanks to our wonderful tour guides who were charming and so informative. They were such fun and wonderful ambassadors for your school.”
Thank you so much to our Year 8 tour guides, who were brilliant ambassadors, and to all the other pupils and staff who contributed to the success of the evening.
