This week was the final week of the Young Enterprise £10 Challenge for our 60 young entrepreneurs in Years 8 and 9.

Having borrowed a £10 investment from the school, the girls have been hard at work over the last 4 weeks setting up a business from scratch, brainstorming an idea, creating a logo and developing a product.

This lunchtime, the challenge culminated in a spirited £10 Challenge Playground Takeover, with girls selling exciting products from ‘brookies’ and matcha drinks to homeware and jewellery. Our Sixth Form Young Enterprise team also had a stall where they sold the personalised transfer cups which they exhibited at the Spitalfields Young Enterprise Fair earlier in the spring.

We have been so impressed with the creativity and innovation of the girls’ products, as well as the teamwork and leadership skills they have displayed throughout the process. A special mention must go to Isabel, Leela, Camilla and Anna who put together a raffle that made over £140 which they have donated to our long-held partner charity, Katherine Low Settlement (KLS). Congratulations to all our stallholders and we look forward to seeing our brilliant business ideas continue to develop.
