Classical ballet is a very popular co-curricular activity throughout the Senior School. Students are prepared for examinations of the Royal Academy of Dance. The aim of ballet within school is to inspire and nurture a love of classical ballet, its history and traditions and associate arts. All pupils are encouraged to achieve their personal best and many find that ballet has benefits for their confidence and posture.

Ballet is taught to the highest standards at school and was described as Excellent in the last ISI inspection report. The school achieves a 100% success rate in examinations and a number of exceptionally talented pupils have gone on to attend the Royal Ballet School, both in the Associate Programme and as full time pupils. A ballet scholarship is offered at 11+.

Musical theatre and other forms of modern dance are also offered, and the School presents pupils for examination as appropriate. A wonderful Gym and Dance Display in the Spring Term showcases the dance talent of the pupils.
