Year 9 have had an enriching and amazing TIPS week where pupils were empowered and we reinforced that they can have an impact of where the world is going through creative problem solving. On Thursday, we introduced the FHS fusion of Model UN and Earthshot. Each group represent a country and had to design a practical, viable and appropriate solution to help their country become more sustainable. They created a pitch which asked the UN judging panel for funding for their solution. On Friday, pupils had a session to develop their public speaking skills and finetuned their pitches. At midday, they had heats and the best 8 pitches from the year group, had the opportunity to pitch their countries solution to our panel of esteemed judges for their ‘investment’. Congratulations to our winners, Team Australia for creating an amazing solution for using bamboo to tackle severe weather!
