Yesterday we set off on our DofE practice expedition in Chorleywood. We learnt how to navigate our way around using a paper map and a compass. It was a really nice way to bond and strengthen our friendships with the girls in our group, especially because the weather was perfect! After our walk through the trees and fields, we learnt and practised how to set up our tents, and we learnt about the Trangia that we will use to cook our food. Although the bags were really heavy, we had an amazing time and are excited for the real thing in June!
