This afternoon, we welcomed Carolyn Axtell, a Campaign Manager from climate action charity, Possible, to run an excellent Creative Perspectives workshop for Year 8. This forms part of our year long Creative Perspectives on Climate Change project in collaboration with Cape Farewell.
Carolyn spoke to Year 8 about Possible’s ambitious vision for a zero carbon country, sharing innovative ideas from plugging solar into railways to putting a repair hub on every high street, before challenging the year group to create their own sustainable cities of the future. We were so impressed with the creativity and ingenuity of the girls’ ideas, which they presented in groups, and look forward to seeing them continue to evolve.
Thank you so much to Carolyn for such an inspirational visit and to our Geography Department for organising this and so many other brilliant opportunities for pupils of all ages.
