This year’s Francis Holland ski trip to Sestriere was an unforgettable adventure for both students and staff. The girls demonstrated impressive skills on the slopes and a wonderful determination to improve. The unrelenting enthusiasm of our FHS girls was admirable, as demonstrated by the frequent bursting into song on the mountain. We were lucky to have a snow fall midweek which made for a challenging but extremely fun day falling over in the powder. Well-earned hot chocolates on the slopes proved a highlight, alongside lunch on the last day with the ski instructors in the sun. We had some adventurous evenings out shopping in the local town, eating crepes, a private cinema viewing of Snow White and a disco where the girls’ energy to dance was unmatched. Whilst we did not escape without illness or injury, the spirit of the group remained strong, and everyone rallied together supporting one another with remarkable resilience. It was a week full of excitement, fun and camaraderie that will go down in FHS history.
