Year 5 had a sticky start to the term as they tried their hands at welding with chocolate in their first STEAM lessons of the Spring Term. They engineered beam and girder bridges using nothing but chocolate, and had to test and compare the strength of their different structures. Through effective design and construction, the girls found out just how strong chocolate can be. One bridge they created was seemingly indestructible.

However, the real challenge of this task was trying not to lick all the melted chocolate off our fingers!
