Year 2 had so much fun making marmalade sandwiches this week in English. We think that Paddington Bear would be very proud of us!

The girls used their excellent instructions to help each other make the perfect marmalade sandwich. They read out their instructions to their partner who listened carefully before completing each step. Then came the exciting part – eating the delicious sandwiches! It goes without saying that the girls loved this aspect of the lesson and were able to describe the taste and texture of their sandwiches using interesting adjectives. Most thought the marmalade was scrumptious, but some decided it was perhaps a little too sour for breakfast!

They were sure, however, that their sandwiches would certainly have met Paddington’s high standards!
