On 18th November, our Year 12 Fine Art students enjoyed a visit to the National Portrait Gallery to explore the Lines of Feeling exhibition. The collection offered a fascinating insight into diverse approaches to portraiture, with a particular emphasis on materials and painterly technique. Students engaged deeply with the artworks, each selecting a piece to present to their peers, sparking lively discussion and reflection. It was a truly enriching afternoon that broadened their understanding of contemporary portraiture and inspired their own creative practice.
