On Tuesday evening, Year 12 A Level Drama performed their coursework devised pieces on the theme of ‘Power’, that they’d devised using the Verbatim interview style. One group looked at natural disasters, the other, immigration, whilst exploring the wider relationship with what is and isn’t within our control. Both groups performed brilliantly, showing a wide range of perspectives on these issues, and encouraging the audience to come to their own conclusions.
Bea M, Year 12 said: “We feel really confident and have enjoyed working as a team to improve our performance. The stimulus was really important to us, and we wanted to make sure that both sides of the topic of Immigration were displayed, as well as including humour and poignant moments for balance and to engage the audience.”
Congratulations to all actors involved for a thoughtful and entertaining evening of theatre!
Miss Smyth, Head of Drama
