During our trip to the Royal Academy of Art, we visited the Van Gogh and Kiefer exhibition, which offered a fascinating insight into the work of both artists. It was particularly interesting to observe the contrasts in their styles and techniques, as well as the similarities in their themes and emotional expression. The exhibition allowed us to reflect on how each artist communicated ideas through texture, colour and symbolism. Following the visit, we created two artist research pages which helped us explore their work more deeply and understand the impact of their art in greater context.

We visited the Wallace Collection to see the Grayson Perry exhibition, which was a unique and engaging experience. Perry’s work stood out for its bold use of colour, intricate details and the way he combined traditional craftsmanship with modern themes. It was interesting to see how his contemporary pieces were displayed alongside the historic works in the Wallace Collection.
