Bright and early on Saturday 25th  November, Year 11 French students set off on the Eurostar for a daytrip across the channel to Lille.

They had a wonderful time, practising their French and immersing themselves in the culture of this beautiful city. After a delicious lunch at a crêperie (involving both cheese and Chantilly cream in no small quantities), the girls had a walking tour of the city in French with a local guide, learning about sights such as the Grand Place and the Vielle Bourse.

The girls also very much enjoyed experiencing the Christmas market in all its glory and having some free time to explore in groups. A brilliant day was had by all!
