Yesterday afternoon, Year 11 enjoyed a Creative Perspectives workshop led by renowned British artist, Michael Pinsky, who is known for his environmental and socially engaged public art which explores urban spaces human impact on the environment and the intersections be of art, architecture and activism.
Michael explained in depth how the physical, social and political environment influences his work, before challenging Year 11 to work in groups to create their own manifestos for ‘The Good Society’. It was a fascinating afternoon and we’ve been so impressed with the girls’ insightful creative perspectives. Huge thanks to Michael for making time in his busy schedule to visit us and to the Geography Department for organising such an inspirational workshop.
