FHJS Book Week has brought much joy to the Year 1 classroom. On Tuesday, we were privileged to welcome Sue Hendra, author of ‘Supertato’. The girls were entranced by her delivery of ‘Supertato, Night of the Living Veg’, which combined the genres of action, horror, and mostly comedy. She then showed us how to draw our own characters, giving clever tips as to how to create different expressions. On Wednesday, the girls tried their hand at making Supertatos of their own. We will at least be kept safe from disaster in Year 1! A good opportunity too, to practise speech bubbles and create a fun adventure story strip revolving around the discovery of an unexpected crime scene….
