What a fantastic day in Athletics for FHS. Over 30 girls attended the annual Westminster Athletics Championships held at Battersea Park. Many of the girls had been showing hard work and commitment at early morning Athletics training this term and were keen to put this into practice. The girls conducted themselves in a professional manner as they independently managed their events and the timings of the day. All athletes performed to their best and were up against extremely tough competitors It was great to see FHS work together as a big squad and cheer each other through the finish line.
FHS managed to come away with 9 golds, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals and we are still awaiting for results to be announced in the field events. We have high hopes that some of the girls will be selected to represent the Borough in London Athletic Competitions.
