Miss Dixon (Year 1 teacher) has brought together some wonderfully worthwhile ideas to enable us all to navigate our way to calmer waters – or rather, calmer afternoons of gentle activities. This is a good chance for us to take a reflective moment of what we are all managing our way through. An opportunity to focus on connection, community and care of ourselves and each other. The five afternoons next week are based on five themes of:

  1. Giving
  2. Learning
  3. Connecting
  4.  Getting Active
  5. Taking Notice

Whilst morning lessons will run similarly to usual, from lunchtime onwards there are opportunities to be reflective, active or creative. The yoga sessions are live with our yoga teacher, Natalie, and your daughter’s form teacher will zoom in to say hello and see how the afternoons are going at 3 o’clock when the girls can choose whether to join or not. These are the only timings to keep an eye out for. All the other activities are pre-recorded and ready to be used whenever suits you and your daughter/s. There are plenty of chances either to let your daughter quietly get on with her activity, or for you to join in this wide variety of offerings designed to unplug, reflect and rebuild.

Let’s make this upcoming week, a week with a difference so that as January closes and the days become longer, we can look towards Spring with a new spring in our step!
