On Saturday 24th June the sun shone, faces were painted and burgers sizzled at our annual Friends’ Summer BBQ.

This year’s Summer BBQ theme was ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ and, as usual, the Junior Friends had excelled themselves in transforming the school into an array of continents. The playground, gym and classrooms were packed with a huge variety of stalls and activities. From the surf simulator and fairground ride to the beautiful face painting and displays of incredible artwork created by the students, the whole school was buzzing with excitement! The fantastic kitchen staff had put on a delicious BBQ with burgers and salads a plenty, if anyone had room for more there were delicious crepes, ice creams and the infamous cake walk. 100% of the profits made from the BBQ will be used by the FOFH to support programs that enhance your daughters learning experience. In the past this has enabled the girls to enjoy the wonderful Forest School trips, Robotics workshops, helped with the upkeep of the animals in the Science department and provided a range of new musical instruments.

Overall it was a brilliant day, and we would like to thank the Friends for organising such a wonderful occasion and for all the time and effort that was put in to the day.
