On Wednesday 16th January, girls in Lower Sixth took part in our annual Festival Challenge.

Teamwork, enterprise, initiative and attention to detail made for a fun afternoon for our LVI girls. At this year’s ‘Festival Challenge’, girls were given nothing more than a roll of paper, sellotape and scissors and were asked to design and create a recyclable ‘rainproof coat’ to be worn at music festivals. At the end of the challenge, girls took part in a fashion show, showcasing the innovative features that had been incorporated to into their designs. Who wouldn’t want an outfit which featured a built in ‘panic button’, magic water repellent boots or ‘technology’ that aids the wearer in finding the nearest facilities? The event demonstrated how inventive our Sixth Formers are, and managed to top last year’s excellent parade.
