As part of our Working Lunch series, we were delighted to welcome Dr. Raj Chandok, who spoke to our Year 11 and Sixth Form aspiring medics about his career in Medicine. With 27 years of experience as a frontline NHS doctor, Dr. Chandok is now the Lead Partner at a large suburban NHS General Practice in North West London, serving over 14,400 patients. He shared invaluable insights into the journey of becoming a doctor, from navigating the medical school interview process to the realities of life in the profession. Dr. Chandok also reflected on the challenges and rewards of his career, including his experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. He closed the session with an engaging discussion about the unexpected moments when he’s been asked in public, “Is there a doctor here?”
