Ros Ball came to talk to us today on her work in the civil service, working at BBC Parliament and being a feminist author. She shared her thought-provoking insights on being a woman in the world today and having childeren today. She talked about differences in treatment her daughter and son have had and how she addressed it by writing a book. Ros mentioned the history of feminism and the progress it has made, as well the progress that still needs to come. Recently Ros wrote a book called ‘Woman Who Won’, which talks about woman in politics who have gained power and influence. Ros emphasises the importance of education and how that can lead us to be influential and successful woman in the future no matter our background or personality.
