At the Speaker Programme this Thursday, the Sixth Form welcomed Peter and Moira Hart.

To commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day (Monday 27th January) Peter and Moira reflected on the life of Peter’s mother Kitty Hart-Moxon, a survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Kitty was sent to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in 1943 at the age of 16, where she survived for two years. Shortly after her liberation in 1945 by American soldiers, she moved to England with her mother. Kitty, now 93 years old, has spent her life writing and talking about her experience of the Holocaust, and Peter and Moira continue to educate young people about her life and survival.
