This week, we welcomed Leah Chowdhry into the Sixth Form Speaker Programme. Leah blew us away with her personal story, which originated with recognising the suffering that many young girls are currently facing in India, which then propelled her to take action, ultimately by becoming the first British Asian woman to have swum the English Channel. Leah had swum for 14 hours non-stop, raising a quarter of a million pounds for her cause. We were utterly captivated by her level of determination, drive and commitment as well as her emphasis on giving back and sticking to your purpose, and many were inspired to step out of their comfort zone more often. We thank Leah for coming to speak to us and answering all of our avid questions.
