On Thursday 26th September we welcomed Kim Abbott to FHS. Kim is a young leader, engineer, problem solver and entrepreneur.

Kim is founder of social enterprise Roka, which aims to break the cycle of poverty in rural India through economic empowerment of women and education. Alongside this, Kim also works as a civil adviser on the Australian Government delegation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

She spoke to our Sixth Form about her career, business experience and her new app Vested, which aims to redefine what is meant by the word ‘millionaire’:

“We want to redefine ‘millionaire’ to be a person who has impacted 1 million lives. For us, it’s not about business as usual, but rather business as it should be.”
