For this week’s Speaker Programme, we were delighted to welcome Jane Wright, an Environment and Sustainability Engineer at Transport for London and the youngest ever Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Jane is a national leader in cutting carbon across major infrastructure projects and has played a key role in shaping the UK’s concrete decarbonisation commitments.
Her talk explored how engineering can drive meaningful environmental change and highlighted the qualities needed to succeed in the field; showing that creativity, problem solving and teamwork are just as essential as academic strength. We were extremely grateful to have her with us, and her insights offered an insight into the innovation and thought behind the transport systems many of us rely on every day.
