On Thursday 25th November, Dr Zanna Clay addressed students at the Sixth Form Speaker Programme.
Dr Clay is a primatologist and comparative psychologist based at Durham University, specialising in the development of language, emotion and social life in our closest relatives: the great apes. She spoke to the Sixth Form about the different social bonds between Bonobos and Chimpanzees and what this can tell us about the important part empathy has played in the evolution of our own species.Â
