This week Dr Emily Grossman addressed students at the Sixth Form Speaker Programme.

Emily is a science communicator and TV broadcaster, as well as being a champion for women in STEM industries and education. She spoke to the Sixth Form about cutting edge developments in stem cell research, asking the question: what would it take to grow a human? With new possibilities of cloning and reproducing organs changing the landscape of healthcare, students were presented with both the new prospects and ethical responsibilities ahead. Emily also spoke passionately about the journey her career has taken her and the need for hard-working, resilient and emotionally intelligent scientists and educators.
