On Thursday 26th September, girls from both Francis Holland, Sloane Square and Francis Holland, Regent’s Park took part in a Shakespeare School’s Festival Workshop at Cecil Sharp House.
The girls from Regent’s Park performed scenes from A Winter’s Tale and refined their use of personal pronouns in Shakespeare in order to bring clarity to the text. The girls from Sloane Square refined their energised Berkoff-style physicality in Julius Caesar, to create a crispness as an ensemble and also to surprise the audience. The workshop leader and West End actor, Ben Vardy complimented the Sloane Square girls on their ability to tell the story physically and was eager to see how 7 door frames would be used to compliment this most relevant of plays.Â
The girls are now in full blown rehearsals prior to their performance at RADA at 7pm on Friday, November 8th. Please call 02076 367 076 to reserve your ticket.
