On Friday 10th November, FHS held our annual Remembrance Service in the playground.

As described by Headmistress Lucy Elphinstone:

The girls in both the Junior and Senior Schools gathered with true solemnity and respect to commemorate those connected to FHS who have fallen in war and given so much for our freedom. The Roll of Honour was read by Mr Jeanes, our Deputy Head, and Mr Calvet, our Head of MFL, with performances by the combined choirs of staff and pupils on the steps of the Morison building adding to the sobriety of the occasion. Two buglers sounded the Last Post concluding a most memorable and moving act of remembrance. ‘At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.’
