On Tuesday, Reception explored the fascinating world of mail at the Postal Museum.

We started our trip with an interactive workshop on the theme of the Jolly Postman where we helped to collect, sort and deliver mail to characters from our favourite fairy tales. After a delicious lunch, the excitement continued at the Sorted Play Space, where the girls explored the enchanting mini town complete with post offices, letter boxes, soft play and even a sorting area. The highlight of the trip, however, was the mail rail where we journey back in time through the original tunnels of London’s postal railway. Before we headed back to school there was time for a quick trip around the museum where we learnt even more about the history of the postal service. The girls certainly gave this trip their ‘stamp’ of approval and behaved beautifully! A huge thank you to all the adults who came with us and made the trip such a success.
