On Thursday 30th May, three FHS pupils volunteered at the All Child Westminster Community Day. All Child are a charity that supports at-risk or vulnerable primary school pupils in West London, providing in-school mentoring and support throughout the year, as well as providing volunteering opportunities for schools like FHS to help with reading initiatives in over 50 primary schools locally. The impact they have is profound, with 75% of children and young people who took part in their Impact Programmes no longer at risk in their emotional and mental wellbeing at the conclusion of the programme.
My-Lan (Year 10), Mai (Year 9) and Minty (Year 12) as well and Miss Vickery (and FHS alumna Kim-Lan) supported young people for the whole day by running the biscuit decorating stall – demonstrating the wonderful FHS values of kindness, teamwork, and sacrifice. We are so proud of them all!
