On Thursday evening, the Upper Sixth and their parents gathered – almost for the last time – in the Senior Hall to hear from the Heads of Sixth Form about Results Day planning and the excitement and challenges they will face in their first few weeks at university.

Deana Puccio from The RAP Project (Raising Awareness and Prevention) gave an illuminating and, occasionally, sobering talk about some of the challenges the students may face at university and how best to meet those challenges, including a culture of excessive drinking, sexual assault and moving away from home for the first time.

We hope that this will help to open channels of communication between parents and their daughters about topics which are sometimes hard to discuss.
