We have reached half term and the sun is starting to show some beaming summery days to accompany the joy we already have found in the summer term. To send us on our way to our holiday week and to celebrate the joy and creativity found in TIPS Week (including with lots of brilliant dance workshops), enjoy this upbeat and danceable piece celebrating brightness, joy and sunshine!

Hello Sunshine is a jazzy and funk-inspired a capella composition by modern composers, Ben Parry and Alexander L’Estrange. With the writers being excellent singers themselves, they compose skillfully for the voice and this playful number bounces along wonderfully with only the human voice being used for all the instruments in this number. L’Estrange has a connection with FHS, through his professional musical partner and wife, Joanna Forbes L’Estrange, who wrote the 2019 FHS school anthem, High as the Heavens.

Listen for the uplifting and crunchy jazz harmony and dancing Latin rhythms with optimistic and fun lyrics. A song to brighten your day and your half term – have a great week!
