On Friday afternoon FHS was immersed in culture as Years 7, 8 and 9 participated in the annual Modern Foreign Languages Poetry Competition, judged by Ms Marshall, former Foreign Languages Publishing Executive. 

Pupils recited poetry from all round the world, with dazzling pronunciation and expression. In very tight rounds, the worthy winners were Chiara T Y7 (French), Phoebe S Y8 (French), Ella O’C Y9 (French), Alexia A Y9 (Spanish), Selma B-T Y8 (Spanish), Lina H Y9 (German) and Romina F Y8 (German). Deniz K and Ines B were crowned winners of the ‘Poems from around the World’ category. The overall winner is Selma B-T.

Well done to all girls who participated.
