On Wednesday 18th September Lower Sixth A level Art students went to a painting session at MasterPeace.
We used projectors to project an image of our choice onto a canvas and then traced the basic outline of the image. We then used acrylic paint to paint the rest of the picture. We enjoyed the experience as it enabled us to paint without boundaries and have fun with our artwork.
The following Saturday, Eccleston Yard ran a designers market as part of London Design Week called Shedfest. Creatively painted sheds were available to anyone in the FHS community with a craft, design idea or small business that would like to showcase their work.
This was a perfect opportunity to sell our paintings, along with some jewellery that I had made over the summer. On the day, we set up our MasterPeace paintings and the jewellery I made ready to sell. It was a brilliant, sunny day filled with lots of excitement Natalie managed to sell her painting of a young girl, and as a group we managed to sell lots of the jewellery I had made. We all enjoyed the day and we would love to take part in events like this again.
