Last night, we celebrated reaching the half-way point of this academic year with a style at our hotly anticipated Lower School Concert!

Our parents, guests and staff were regaled with all manner of musical delights from Year 7-9, including the training orchestra, Jazz Vocal Group, Lower Chamber Choir, Lower School Choir, wonderful individual performances across the board and, last but certainly not least, our universally beloved School Band!

Lower Chamber Choir gave a particularly moving performance of In the name of Music by Victor C. Johnson, a song about getting through challenges by singing which was the perfect antidote for the last two years.

Talitha Lang, who gave a beautiful rendition of Quiet from Matilda, and Clarissa Campbell-Carter, who sang a song of her own impressive composition, Seven Years Away, also deserve a special mention.

Finally, the concert concluded with a fantastic Year 8 Samba – a joyous and uplifting end which was fitting in celebrating a brilliant half term and looking forward many more exciting things to come at FHS this year!

Thank you to our magnificent music department and all our performers for again delivering an unforgettable performance.
