U11 Netball v Garden House– On Monday 1st November, our U11 Netball teams made up of Year 6 and selected Year 5 girls travelled to Vauxhall for four Netball matches against Garden House. All of the teams came away with well-deserved wins! I was especially pleased with the way that everyone took responsibility for their own players in defence and worked hard to turn over the ball.
U9 Netball v Thomas Fulham– Year 4 travelled to South Park on Tuesday to play against Thomas’s Fulham in close matches. Although we were beaten on the day, I think the coaches and spectators can agree that there is constant progress in each match and some of the teams are beginning to gel well together. In the final quarters, we realised the importance of getting the ball into the D to allow the shooter to have more tries on goal.
Year 4 – 6 Swimming Gala v Broomwood Hall – A double swim meet for Year 4 to Year 6 was met with much excitement on Wednesday 3rd November. For some of the girls it was their first ever gala! Our swimmers were outstanding in arranging their race teams and came consistently first and second in many races. It was a close meet in the final stages but FHS came away champions by scoring 8 more points than Broomwood. We look forward to seeing them again in the spring term for another fixture.
