Yesterday evening, we welcomed our Junior School parents, staff and friends to one of our most cherished Autumn term traditions: the Junior School Winter Concert.
After a welcome speech by Mrs Dixon, Years 2-6 took to the stage and we were regaled with performances of an excellent calibre across the board. These included steel pans, Christmas percussion, boomwhackers, fantastic orchestral and solo performances and glorious group renditions of songs from classic shows such as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hairspray and, for the grand finale, Hamilton!
Mrs Elphinstone addressed our guests at the end and, as well and noting what a true joy the Concert was, she described how valued each and every member of our Junior School is for being brilliant and beautiful in her own way.
Congratulations to all of our magnificent performers and to Mrs Floyd, Mr Page, Miss Vickery and the rest of the Music Department for all of their hard work which made last night’s concert so special.
For those who were unable to attend the Winter Concert which critics called ‘the live event of the Junior School season’ or for those wishing they could see it all again – you’re in luck! Mr Page has released recordings of each piece which can be found via this link:

We hope you enjoy watching them all at home over the festive season!
