Reception have been learning all about Chinese New Year this week. We are so grateful to Maisy giving us a fabulous demonstration on how to use chopsticks. Here she is above doing a sorting activity. The girls have created some wonderful dragons which we learnt bring good luck. We had a very exciting day today because Elsie and her mother gave us an inspiring talk about their own celebrations for Chinese New Year and then they showed us how to make Chinese lanterns and how to do Chinese calligraphy. Thank you very much indeed to Elsie and Mrs Yu for giving us such a fascinating morning.
