On Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June, our Junior School put on an infectiously joyful performance of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’.

Told entirely through song, this show is a wonderful pastiche of so many different musical styles; where else do you go from Country and Western to the 1920s in seconds, from Elvis to France to a Caribbean Calypso in minutes?

Thanks to an army of parents and the indefatigable Junior School staff, the show featured zany costumes, glittering makeup and a dazzlingly neon set. It was a remarkable achievement for the Junior School girls to perform a through-composed work of this complexity. Their determination to master the tricky score, with its many vocal parts, was quite extraordinary.
