On Thursday 25th November, our Year 11 GCSE students (plus Year 9 student Cerine, who is doing her Music GCSE two years early!) performed their GCSE recitals for an audience of families, friends and teachers, in the newly completed Carmel Hall Studio Theatre.

The audience were spellbound by the quality of the girls’ vocal, strings and piano performances, which were outstanding across the board. From contemporary pieces including Shallow from A Star is Born and Popular from Wicked, to more classical pieces such as Norwegian Dance by Greig and Dolente immagine di Fille mia by Vincenzo Bellini, the girls demonstrated their mastery of a wide variety of genres and there was truly something for everyone to enjoy.

Congratulations to Cerine, Inga, Summer, Holly, Emily, Ava, Joanna and Deniz, for wonderful performances and thank you so much to Miss Vickery, Mrs Floyd, Mr Mercer, Miss Gajic Murata and the rest of our incredible Music Department for their inspirational teaching and indefatigable dedication.
