On Tuesday morning, we were delighted to receive another bumper crop of donations for Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank, which were expertly sorted by pupil, parent and staff volunteers, both at school on Tuesday morning and on a special visit to the depot in Baron’s Court on Thursday morning.

We have just celebrated the 1 year anniversary of our partnership with the foodbank, which has been instigated by our wonderful Senior School Parents’ Association. We have held monthly collections since November 2022, and have seen an incredible response from both students and parents each month without fail. In the 2022-23 academic year, FHS donated a phenomenal 3.5 tonnes of produce and contributed 1/6 of all food donations to the foodbank.

Junior and Senior School families have been terrific at providing exactly the right type of food and toiletries – whole meals in a tin such as spaghetti and meatballs and long-life milks and juices, as well as toiletries for adults, nappies for babies and toddlers and good quality second-hand clothing.

As well as collecting donations for the foodbank on Tuesday morning, we were delighted to collect an incredible SEVENTEEN huge bags of winter coats for Chestertons Coat Drive from our parents, students and staff. These will help keep vulnerable Londoners warm this winter.

Thank you so much to all who have volunteered, contributed and donated to these amazing initiatives so far. We look forward to seeing much more fabulous FHS Outreach over the remainder of the Autumn Term.
