We are thrilled to announce that we have been chosen out of more than 700 nominations as finalists in the Independent Schools of the Year 2021 Awards for the Innovation Award for an Outstanding New Initiative thanks to our ground-breaking Creative Enterprise programme!

Created by our Director of Creative Enterprise Mr Dyson, our unique programme aims to harness the unconfined creativity, innovation and enterprise shown by so many of our girls and gradually nurture their skills over time, allowing them to realise their full potential both as individuals and as part of a team.

In Year 7 we run a creative challenge in order to develop the girls’ confidence and belief in their collective creativity. In Year 8, girls partake in Peter Jones’ renowned Tycoon in Schools Project and then use this experience to act as Business Mentors in Year 9. All girls participate in our Upper School Enrichment Programme in Year 10 and work with our link entrepreneur, Dragon’s Den winner Zena Al Farra, in a Design Thinking Workshop where they compete in teams to explore and develop different technologies-of-the-moment each year. Our Flagship Programme is our Sixth Form Innovation Sprints – a fast paced series of workshops with Link Entrepreneurs where pupils learn to start businesses alongside their studies and work with entrepreneurship mentors who offer both academic and business guidance.

We have also launched Francis Holland Questions, a podcast where staff and pupils are given an insight into the lives of a range of fascinating professionals and have partnered with The Childhood Trust to attract investment from Blue Box to set up the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, allowing us to offer our programme to less fortunate pupils across London.

Congratulations to Mr Dyson for pioneering such an innovative, creative and universally enjoyable programme for our pupils and we look forward to the results being announced on 7th October!
