On Monday 30th May, our Lower School Choir performed for guests at a tea dance hosted by the Prince’s Foundation at The Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks. The tea dance on Monday is one of four hosted by the Foundation to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s upcoming Platinum Jubilee weekend, alongside dances at Dumfries House, the Castle of May, and Highgrove, where HRH Prince Charles made a surprise appearance. The Choir were in full voice, fresh from performing on their recent tour in Edinburgh where they sang at St Giles’ Cathedral, St Michael’s Church, St Cuthbert’s Church, and on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Local press reported, ‘the first of four tea dances took place on Monday at the Garrison Chapel in Chelsea, the Foundation’s exhibition space in West London, where pianist Joe Thompson and a choir featuring pupils from nearby Francis Holland School provided the entertainment’.

Thank you to our Choir and Mr Mercer for delighting the guests with such beautiful music.
