On Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th March, we held our annual Fanny Davies Music Festival.

The annual Fanny Davies Music Festival was once again a delight for the whole school. Hundreds of girls from across both the Junior and Senior Schools took part in various classes from Piano and Strings to Composition and Instrumental Ensembles.

The standard continues to improve year on year and, more importantly, there is always so much joy displayed in many of the performances.

Elizabeth (Year 10) was awarded overall Senior School Fanny Davies Winner for her terrific Xylophone and Drum Kit performances that simply blew the audience and adjudicator away. Teresa (Year 9) was awarded the Lower School Fanny Davies Winner for a beautiful performance of Minuets 1 & 2 from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1. Highly commended were Darya (Year 13), Jamima (Year 13), Phoebe (Year 10) and Isabella (Year 13).

Many thanks to our adjudicator Miss Heidi Pegler, Deputy Director of Music at St. Paul’s Girls’ School for her fantastic feedback to all competitors over the course of the two days and to Miss Vickery for inspiring and organising all the musicians who took part.
