On Thursday 1st December, Nicola Medicoff and Zarah Drummond (both in Year 11) represented the school in the first round of the ESU Mace, the most prestigious national competition for prepared debating in the UK.

Despite their previously limited knowledge of football or Formula One, they successfully opposed the motion “This house supports the introduction of salary caps for professional sports” and have gone through to the second round of the competition.
