On Friday 12th October, Year 5 took part in ‘Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover!’

This event allowed girls to take home a new, exciting book, which they chose based on its contents rather than its cover. Miss Ivison read out a short description of each book, and the girls’ hands shot up to request a copy of their favourite!

It was great fun, with the girls learning to not just be taken in by colourful, exciting covers, but to take time to find out more about the content of the books they read. They all sounded like fantastic reads, and we are sure that Year 5’s heads will be buried in their new books this evening!
